If you are not hated by a bunch of people you are probably not representing Christ!...
Jesus made it very clear, "If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first!" John 15:18
All that is Christ-in-you convicts all that is against Christ or 'anti-Christ in them and they hate you for it! "And this is the conviction: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil!" John 3:19 It reminds them of all the people and authority figures they encountered in their lives who laid guilt trips on them or tried to make them think they are bad! And in this you may perhaps understand and even identify with their sensitivities! But Jesus never guilted anyone for the joy of it! He always and only wanted to lead them back to God His Father!
So how do you deal with this? How do you point the way to people who hate you because you carry a torch for Jesus? First off, you must acknowledge their illness - they are possessed by ill or ev-ill spirits! Your intention must be right, you must want them to become better and to come out of darkness and into the Light! But be careful, they will hurt you if they can! As Jesus said, "Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves!" Matthew 10:16 It is no different from working in rehab, or in a psychiatric ward, or in a prison - you need to be very cautious, very respectful, very careful and most importantly, you need to move aside and let Jesus do His work through you! If you don't, you may be shamed and harmed as were the 'Seven Sons of Sceva' when they tried to use the name of Jesus before having surrendered themselves to Him! "Now there were some itinerant Jewish exorcists who tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those with evil spirits. They would say, “I command you by Jesus, whom Paul proclaims.” Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.
But one day the evil spirit responded, “Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. The attack was so violent that they ran out of the house naked and wounded!" Acts 19:13–16
The Tao Te Ching advises us to:
"Be careful, as if crossing a frozen river
Alert, as if aware of danger
Respectful, like a guest
Yielding, like melting ice
Simple, like uncarved wood
Trying to understand
Is like straining to see through muddy water
Be still, and allow the mud to settle
Remain still, until it is time to act" TTC 15
But Jesus of course always gives the best instructions:
"To those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you!" Luke 6:27, 28
The Satanists and LuciferIans though are the hardest to understand and forgive because they are so full of hatred and maliciousness, so soulless and lacking in compassion and humanity - so pathetic and misguided, so in peril from the Satan they tragically believe will reward them for loyalty and worship! For, "How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?" Hebrews 2:3 For, "Jesus too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, Satan." Hebrews 2:14
And so to these the Lord says:
"Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near.
Let the wicked man forsake his way
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the LORD,
that He may have compassion,
and to our God,
for He will freely pardon!" Isaiah 55:6, 7
And do this now while you can, while it is still day for, "Night is coming, where no one can work" John 9:4
Don't delay! After which we can give praise to God and His Son Jesus for, "He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son!" Colossians 1:13
